RR&D community license: Claustrophobia is Sparked by the Resistance. It uses ideas from the Resistance Toolbox, published by Rowan, Rook and Decard. Find out more at https://rowanrookanddecard.com
I used to love D&D, but their recent push towards owning what others make, has disgusted me. RR&D have a MUCH more open license on their products and indeed the core system is amazingly open, unlike the new SRD for D&D. This means with RR&D you get to properly own your original content. I don't want to get in the way of this, I want to encourage it, and with that in mind this site can greatly help you build and run a game in the Resistance system, one that you yourself will still own. I am not taking a cut, I am not collecting information to sell, I am not putting advertisement on my site. I am keeping costs down by self hosting the site. I may at some point start a Patrean for those who wish to support me and help keep the costs of running and developing the site covered. This will become necessary if the site becomes too popular as self hosting might no longer be feasible, but currently I can deal with the 287 registered users on this site, and only 3 in the last week.
I have previously made a dynamic character sheet for HEART that auto filled and updated all the information as characters progressed including detailed descriptions of abilities and fallout so we did not need to keep passing the book around, I did this in excel and each character had their own sheet. I wanted to make this a little more robust and centralised, and so I started building this site. I then contacted RR&D and as per their request took down both the old excel sheet and hid the HEART content from this site. Since I still wanted this site to be useful to people, I started adding the ability for people to create their own games using the Resistance system and with RR&D's concent this site was born.
